Many more stars have been rumoured to use peptides. We left out anyone who has not said it themselves.

Group 1: The weight-loss shots

This is the group most people have heard about. Semaglutide (sold as Ozempic and Wegovy) and tirzepatide (sold as Mounjaro and Zepbound) are peptides. They copy gut hormones that tell your brain you are full.

Since late 2022, a long list of famous people have said they used one. A few examples, in their own words where we have them:

Amy Schumer

The comedian said in 2023 that she tried Ozempic and felt sick. In 2025 she said on Instagram that she uses Mounjaro. She has also said other stars lie about using these drugs.

Whoopi Goldberg

Said on The View in 2024 that she used Mounjaro, and talked about it again on Kelly Clarkson’s show.

Sharon Osbourne

Said she used Ozempic and lost a lot of weight. She also warned people to “be careful what you wish for.”

Meghan Trainor

The singer said in 2025 on Instagram that she used Mounjaro, along with diet and exercise changes.

Elon Musk

In late 2022 he wrote on social media that fasting and Ozempic or Wegovy helped him lose weight. That post helped make the drugs famous.

Oprah Winfrey

Told People magazine in 2023 that she uses a weight-loss medicine. Some stars switched drugs over time.

What about “Ozempic face”? You may have seen this phrase in celebrity news. It means a face that looks thinner or older after fast weight loss. It is not a special side effect of one drug. Losing a lot of weight quickly, in any way, can take fat out of the face too.

For how these weight-loss peptides compare with each other, see our semaglutide vs tirzepatide vs retatrutide guide.

The Kardashian-Jenner family

People search for “Kardashian peptides” a lot. Here is what the family has actually said, and what they have not.

Kris Jenner

On the SHE MD podcast in May 2026, she said she tried Ozempic once and it made her very sick. She said a peptide injection worked well for her instead, along with supplements like fish oil. She did not say which peptide.

Kris Jenner, part two

She has also said peptide hair gummies from a brand called Omi “pretty much changed my life.” She is a part owner of that brand, so keep that in mind.

Khloé Kardashian

In an August 2025 Instagram video, she said she had taken Omi hair peptides for months and called them the best thing for her hair. She is also a part owner of Omi.

Khloé and Ozempic

Khloé has said she did not use Ozempic for her weight loss. She said in late 2024 that she was only “mad” it did not exist ten years ago.

What about Kim? Kim Kardashian has talked about stem-cell shots in her scalp. Stem cells are not peptides, so we did not count her.

One more thing. A hair gummy is not the same as a peptide shot. Most peptides you swallow get broken down in your stomach, a lot like the protein in food. That does not mean the gummy does nothing. It means it works in a different way from an injection, and the two should not be compared.

Group 2: Joe Rogan and the recovery crowd

This group is where the word “peptides” really took off online. The star compound is BPC-157, a 15-bead peptide first found in stomach juice. It is studied for healing tendons, muscles and the gut.

Joe Rogan

Rogan has said BPC-157 helped heal an injury he had struggled with. A 2026 count found he has talked about BPC-157 in at least 31 episodes of his podcast.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The US Health Secretary went on Rogan’s show in February 2026. He said he is “a big fan of peptides” and used them on a couple of injuries.

Andrew Huberman

The Stanford brain scientist has done whole episodes on peptides. He has pointed out that BPC-157 has lots of animal studies but very few human studies.

Derrick Lewis

The UFC fighter said in January 2026 that the UFC gave him “great peptides.” The UFC said that was wrong. Peptides like BPC-157 are banned in the UFC. The shots he got were allowed, tested products.

What about Stallone? Sylvester Stallone told Time magazine in 2008 that he used human growth hormone (HGH) while training for Rambo. HGH comes up in peptide talk a lot. But as the chart above shows, it is a full protein, not a short peptide. For more, see our growth hormone guide.

Recovery peptides are also popular with athletes. That is why sports bodies ban them. BPC-157 and TB-500 are on the World Anti-Doping list, so tested athletes cannot use them. Our BPC-157 vs TB-500 guide explains how the two differ.

Group 3: Beauty and anti-aging

This is the newest group, and it grew fast in 2025 and 2026.

Jennifer Aniston

In an interview reported in March 2026, the actor said she gets peptide shots every week. She said, “I do think that’s the future.” She did not name the peptide.

Gwyneth Paltrow

She told ELLE that shots of vitamin B12, NAD+ and peptides are among her biggest wellness tools. Note: NAD+ is not a peptide. It is a helper molecule found in every cell.

Neither star said which peptide. In skin care, the one people talk about most is GHK-Cu, a tiny 3-bead copper peptide found in blood. You can read more in our copper peptides and skin guide. Most came from one research group. There were only three human studies, with about 30 people in all. None of them compared BPC-157 with a dummy treatment. That kind of test is the gold standard.

So when Rogan or RFK Jr. says a peptide helped them, that is one person’s story. It might be true for them. But one story cannot tell you if it works, how well, or what the risks are. Injuries often heal on their own with time, and that can fool anyone.

The weight-loss peptides are the opposite. They have been tested in huge trials with a dummy shot for comparison. That is why doctors prescribe them.

What changed in the US in 2026

Celebrity talk and politics came together this year.

2023: US drug regulators put close to 20 peptides on a high-risk list. But their podcasts, shows and posts reach Canada every day. That is why searches for peptides keep growing here.

Some plain points to keep in mind:

US rule changes do not cross the border. The July 2026 panel vote was about US pharmacies only.

Weight-loss shots are prescription medicines here. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Research peptides are for labs. Compounds like BPC-157 are sold in Canada as research material, not as medicine.

Stars have private doctors. Copying what a celebrity does, without that care, is a very different thing.

Canadian experts have asked for more caution too. Bob Hancock, a microbiologist at the University of British Columbia, said very few peptides have real, proven benefits. The honest view: a few peptides are proven medicines, many are promising in the lab, and most are not proven in people yet.

How to pick a research supplier

For lab research on peptides, the supplier matters as much as the compound. Beauty and anti-aging: Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow have discussed peptide injections or peptide supplements."}}, {"@type": "Question", "name": "Does Joe Rogan use peptides?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "Joe Rogan has said on his podcast that the peptide BPC-157 helped heal an injury he had struggled with, and a 2026 Psychology Today analysis counted BPC-157 mentions in at least 31 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience. BPC-157 has extensive animal research but only three small human studies (about 30 people total), none randomized or placebo-controlled."}}, {"@type": "Question", "name": "Do the Kardashians use peptides?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "Kris Jenner said on the SHE MD podcast in May 2026 that Ozempic made her sick and that a peptide injection worked well for her; she has also praised Omi hair growth peptide gummies. Khloé Kardashian said in an August 2025 Instagram video that she had taken Omi hair peptides for months. Both are disclosed stakeholders in Omi. Khloé has said she did not use Ozempic. Kim Kardashian has discussed stem-cell scalp injections, which are not peptides."}}, {"@type": "Question", "name": "Is Ozempic a peptide?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "Yes. Semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, is a 31-amino-acid peptide analogue of the gut hormone GLP-1. Tirzepatide, in Mounjaro and Zepbound, is a 39-amino-acid peptide that acts on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. Both are prescription medicines backed by large randomized trials."}}, {"@type": "Question", "name": "What peptide does Jennifer Aniston use?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "In an interview reported in March 2026, Jennifer Aniston said she receives weekly peptide injections and described them as the future of skin care. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are backed by large randomized trials, while peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500 have mostly animal data and very little controlled human research. Celebrities also often receive treatments under private medical supervision, and some have financial stakes in products they promote."}}, {"@type": "Question", "name": "Is BPC-157 approved?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "BPC-157 is not an approved drug in Canada or the United States. In July 2026 a US FDA advisory committee recommended allowing wider pharmacy compounding access to six peptides, including BPC-157, TB-500, KPV, MOTS-c, Epitalon and Semax; an advisory vote is not drug approval.
